Just how original are the various sports columns in News Ltd papers around the country?
Three items from Ben Scadden’s “Boots ‘n all” column in Adelaide’s Sunday Mail last weekend also turned up in the Sunday Herald Sun
on the same day. A story on Bali bombing survivor Jason McCartney’s
wife Nerissa and another on Wayne Carey baby rumours appeared word for
word in both Scadden’s column and Rossane Michie’s sports gossip
section in the Sunday Hun. Whose story was it?
Scadden
also ran a yarn about Brendan Fevola’s girlfriend which appeared in
Scot Palmer’s “Punchlines” column. The two items bore a striking
resemblance, as you can see here (Sunday Herald Sun, left; Sunday Mail, right):
