We’ve been talking about Troy Williams, the Canberra Liberal candidate who put up the first poster of the 2007 election campaign earlier in the week.
His fluteboard has been a source of joy to his could-be constituents – as this photo of how it looked yesterday shows.
Williams seems to have been quick off the mark in other ways, too. Too quick, maybe. Take a dekko at his website. He’s already learned all about the problems in the suburb of O’Conner – but doesn’t seem to have spent enough time there to discover that it’s actually spelt O’Connor.
Ditto with his research on his opponent. Throughout much of the site, Williams refers to the current Labor Member as “Bob McMullen”.
