There’s very little movement at the top of the Crikey/Media Monitors Tuesday Top 20 for the week of 22-28 May 2007 as the focus remains on the leaders — and a wannabe.
Victorian Premier Steve Bracks is this week’s standout performer. The stoush over the Murray-Darling Basin has seen him leap eight places — except in his version of Proud Mary if you go down the river, well, people on the river ain’t happy to give.
The fortieth anniversary of the Aboriginal rights referendum has seen Indigenous Affairs Minister Mal Brough leap five spots with his reworked protest song, We Shall Obfuscate .
In the lower reaches of the charts, Sports Minister George Brandis has had a massive jump of 12 places with I Fought the AFL and the AFL won .
And Labor’s education spokesman, Stephen Smith, is also storming the charts, up 13 spots with School’s Out Forever(Or At Least the Student Union).

The talkback charts play interestingly for Labor. Kevin Rudd has toppled the Prime Minister from the top spot for the first time since Burkiegate, thanks to the Ingeus controversy.

And as our comparison with people in the real world this week, we’re using Lindsay Lohan. Not that Linds and the real world are the most comfortable fit.
