The most recent poll-mix, of four polls in the fortnight up to yesterday and taking in the weekend’s Newspoll, comes to 57 to 43 in Labor’s favour.
For something different, the graph today begins in January 2006, when a certain Kim Beazley led the Labor Party and commentators were still locked in to the “John Howard is unbeatable” template.
The laws of gravity suggest the red and blue lines should have converged by now. Or that they will after the election is called.
But maybe someone rewrote the laws and we didn’t notice.
