Another quiet week in politics … So in his grand week, the week that has been built up for months, in which we finally see the “real” story of those 11 and a half years from the great man, a week in which he got more coverage than the Prime Minister, Peter Costello still ended up number two.

And in a week that reminded us that revenge seems to be the main game in a post ideological political world, Brendan Nelson pizzled all over his great mate Pete’s book launch and lost his job in the process, Matt Brown was knifed three days into his job after what we call here in the Illawarra “a bit of harmless fun”, Reba Meagher poked her tongue out at everyone (yes, you got us Reba, we know) and even Brendon Grylls was dudded by his own team … oh and there’s a new Federal Opposition Leader … Whozit?

Talkback all politics all the time again this week, with pensions still a hot topic along with the Liberal leadership fun and Tom Cruise of Macquarie Street.
