The Winners: Two and a Half Men averaged 1.587 million at 7.30pm. Seven News was second with 1.489 million (but with losses in Sydney and Melbourne). Today Tonight was 3rd with 1.453 million. Nine News averaged 1.433 million for 4th. Next was My Kitchen Rules on Seven at 7.30pm to 8.30pm with 1.396 million. Nine’s The Mentalist averaged 1.311 million and won the 8.30pm slot. The 7pm repeat of Two and a Half Men averaged 1.286 million people and The Big Bang Theory at 8pm on Nine, averaged 1.265 million people. A Current Affair was 9th with 1.212 million, the 7pm ABC News averaged 1.143 million and Desperate Housewives averaged 1.083 million at 8.30pm for Seven. And 13th was Australian Story was 9pm with 1.027 million viewers.

The Losers: Ten’s schedule last night: Good News Week, 740,000 from 8.30pm. That was 4th, beaten by the combination of Four Corners and Media Watch in the first hour. The Biggest Loser at 7.30pm to 8.30pm, 697,000. Hot Seat, 624,000 at 5.30pm, beat Deal by 2000 viewers.

News & CA: Seven News again won nationally and in every market but Sydney and Melbourne. Today Tonight won nationally over ACA. Ten News averaged 959,000. The late News/Sports Tonight, 177,000. The 7.30 Report averaged 946,000 (higher than in recent weeks). Four Corners, 974,000. Media Watch, 769,000. Q&A, 582,000. Lateline, 249,000, Lateline Business, 116,000. SBS News at 6.30pm, 163,000, 141,000 for the late edition. 7am Sunrise, 384,000, 7am Today, 316,000.

The Stats:

FTA: Nine won with a combined overnight 6pm to midnight All People share of 31.1%, from Seven with 30.5%, the ABC with 17.7%, Ten with 15.6% and SBS with 5.2%. Nine leads the week 30.6% to 30.5%. Nine won Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, Seven won Adelaide and Perth.

Main Channel: Nine won with a combined overnight All People 6pm to midnight share of 28.9%, from Seven with 26.9%, ABC 1 on 16.3%, Ten with 15.2% and SBS ONE on 5.0%. Seven leads the week, 27.7% to 27.6% for Nine. Nine won Sydney and Melbourne and Brisbane, Seven won Adelaide and Perth.

Digital: 7TWO won with a combined overnight All People 6pm to midnight share of 3.6%, from GO with 2.1%, ABC 2 with 1.1%, ONE with 0.4%, ABC 3, 0.3%, SBS TWO, 0.2%. That’s a combined share for the six FTA digital channels of 7.7%. GO leads the week on 3.0% from 7TWO with 2.9%.

Pay TV: Nine won with a combined overnight share of 26.0%, from Seven on 25.5%, the ABC on 14.8%, Pay TV with 14.1%, Ten with 14.0% and SBS with 4.,3%. The 11 FTA channels averaged 85.9%, Pay TV and its 100 plus channels, 14.1%.

Regional: a combined overnight All People 6 pm to midnight share of 29.7% saw WIN/NBN win the night, from Prime/7Qld with 26.7%, the ABC with 19.9% and Ten with 17.4% (Southern Cross) with SBS on 6.4%. WIN/NBN won the main channel battle, 28.3% to Prime/7Qld’s 24.7%. 7TWO won the digital battle, 2.3% to 1.2% for GO and 1.1% for ABC 2.

The ABC was very strong last night, Ten very weak. The 7pm Project averaged 769,000 and had more viewers than Good News Week. Apart from Ten News, The 7pm Project was Ten’s most watched program last night.

TONIGHT: Nine has Top Gear at 7.30pm (just one episode). Nine also has a Survivor special after it. Seven has My Kitchen Rules, Ten has Bondi Rescue and NCIS. The ABC has Foreign Correspondent and SBS has Insight.
