Glenn Dyer’s comments: A more comprehensive win to Seven last night, thanks to My Kitchen Rules second last effort last night. It topped the female and the age groups (males were watching Top Gear on Nine).

My Kitchen Rules is winding up next Monday night at 7.30pm with a 90 minute episode. If Nine didn’t have Top Gear, it would have finished third behind Ten. As it was, when Top Gear finished at 8.40pm and the first of two episodes of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains started, Nine slipped to equal third from 8.40pm to 9.3 pm and then third. Rivers with Griff Rhys Jones on the ABC, which meanders like its subject, was actually as interesting to viewers as the first episode of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains (735,000 apiece). Seven said it won primetime in All People, 16-39s, 18-49s and 25-54s.

The 7pm Project on Ten at 7pm with 694,000 got to within 2000 viewers of The 7.30 Report, which had a tougher battle against Top Gear and My Kitchen Rules on Seven.

TONIGHT: Spicks and Specks on the ABC at 8.30pm. Criminal Minds on Seven at 8.30pm. RPA on Nine at 8.30pm, So You Think You Can Dance on Ten at 8pm. Not much actually, a below par night.
