The Winners: Seven’s Parenthood at 9.30pm lost ground on its debut and slipped under a million to 917,000, but still won the slot. Baroque on the ABC, 510,000 from 8.30pm. It’s an arts program so not much more could be expected up against Packed to the Rafters.
- Packed to the Rafters (Seven) (8.30pm) — 1.904 million

The Losers: Nine’s repeat of the Top Gear Botswana Special from 9pm to 10.10pm, 731,000. It, plus the tired 20 to 1 at 10.10pm was Nine running dead on a night where Seven was obviously stronger. Ten’s repeat of NCIS at 8.30pm, 859,000. Enough is enough. Nine had more than four and a half hours of repeats last night, including the Top Gear Botswana Special which has aired on SBS.
News & CA: Seven News and Today Tonight won nationally and everywhere. ACA regained the 300,00 mark in Sydney to average 343,000, but was still beaten by TT on 379,000.

Glenn Dyer’s comments: Nothing much to be said. Seven’s night with Packed to the Rafters dominant, again. Nine ran dead, except for Top Gear. Melbourne had four programs with audiences of 400,000 or more, Sydney had just two.
TONIGHT: The last Gruen Nation of the campaign. Plus Spicks and Specks and Yes We Canberra makes the ABC the place to be tonight. Having attended the taping of Gruen Nation last night, watch, it’s a great episode. Funny, harsh and tells us more about the problems in both campaigns than the parties will admit to. Free advice for Liberal and Labor. City Homicide on Seven and a Lewis episode in all markets. The Farmer wants a Wife on Nine and The 7pm Project and fresh Simpsons on Ten.
