News & CA: Seven News won everywhere bar Melbourne where Nine News got home. Today Tonight won everywhere bar Brisbane where ACA got up. In the Sydney news battle, Seven with 402,000 won the night, with the ABC 7pm News second with 349,000, The 7.30 Report next with 314,000, Nine News on 310,000 and ACA on 303,000.

Viewers still want a hit of a political update. That should come tonight, so expect another good audience for the ABC News and especially The 7.30 Report. If we do get a decision today, will TT and ACA finally recognise that there is some interest from the audience towards politics? Can those programs throw off weeks of indifference?
