The Glenn Dyer breakdown: Seven’s dominated because of My Kitchen Rules. And that was the night.

Chris Uhlmann was very good on 7.30 last night. Family Confidential on ABC 1 at 8pm (551,000) was solid with Bryce Courtenay and The Straits held its audience from last week, which is encouraging.

Tonight: Australia plays Sri Lanka  in Perth in a ODI cricket match on Nine. ABC 1 has a repeat of Inspector George Gently, then Getting On. Ten has Glee, then a movie. Seven has Better Homes and Gardens for 90 minutes, then a movie.

Saturday: New Tricks and Accused (a new series) on the ABC from 7.30pm. Ten is mostly repeats. The Graham Norton Show might be OK. Nine and Seven have movies. Weak!

Sunday: The various morning chat shows on ABC 1, Ten, Nine and Seven. Landline at Midday on ABC 1. A fresh episode of Midsomer Murders at 8.30pm on the ABC. Seven has Sunday Night then the usual line up. Bones might be worth a look at 8.30pm. Ten has its solid line up starting with Young Talent Time and ending with Homeland. Nine has ODI cricket from Adelaide, Australia v. India. Official Ratings start today.
