The Glenn Dyer breakdown: My Kitchen Rules ruled again — easily — meaning it was Seven’s night, again. Nothing else was in the hunt.
Seven’s Grey’s Anatomy lost around 200,000 viewers in week two of its return to finish with 776,000 views after My Kitchen Rules.
Believe it or not, Nine screened Two Broke Girls on GO last night, just two days after it started on the main channels. It averaged 150,000. At this rate it will be stale in a month and on GO permanently. Is Nine really that hard up for programming?
Tonight: He’s back … Ricky Ponting leads the Australia cricket team again in tonight’s ODI cricket match. The ABC has a repeat of Inspector George Gently. Seven has Better Homes and Gardens. Ten has Glee after The Biggest Loser.
Saturday: New Tricks repeat then an episode of Accused on the ABC. Seven and Nine have movies (weak). Ten has the weak Undercover Boss USA and then The Graham Norton Show. SBS returns Mad Men at 9.15pm but it is so far behind Pay TV that it’s not funny anymore.
Sunday: Week two of ratings. The morning chinwags start the day. Nine has an ODI between Australia and India from Brisbane. Seven has Sunday Night and Bones. Ten has Modern Family and New Girl. Homeland and Young Talent Time faded badly last Sunday, another test for both. The ABC has yet another Midsomer Murders.
