The Glenn Dyer breakdown: My Kitchen Rules equals a win for Seven. It’s a simple recipe: two ingredients and another ratings win. In fact, Seven ruled the roost from 6pm to 10pm.
The Footy Shows were again a tale of two codes: In Sydney, the NRL version averaged 159,000, (16th in market) in Brisbane, 81,000 (21st in market). In Melbourne the AFL program added viewers from last week to average 355,00 for the 90 minutes from 9.30pm and ran second in the market behind My Kitchen Rules.
Ten’s The Biggest Loser averaged 805,000. Nine’s nice Earthflight averaged 518,000. The last night of the Australian Swimming Championships on Ten averaged 449,000 on the main channel at 8pm and 196,000 on ONE half an hour later.
Tonight: NRL on Nine in Sydney and Brisbane. Seven has Better Homes and Gardens. Ten has Glee and The Biggest Loser. The ABC has a new UK crime drama starting called The Shadow Line at 9.30pm after Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.
Saturday: AFL on Seven and Pay TV. Nine has another Harry Potter movie and other movies after that. Ten has a fresh The Graham Norton Show and repeats of other programs before that. The ABC has the New Tricks repeat and a fresh Spooks. NRL is on Pay TV. SBS has Big, Bigger Biggest returning. Queensland has the elections specials on the various networks, with Sky News and News 24 adding coverage. There are news updates in other markets during the night.
Sunday: The morning chats first up. There is NRL on Nine and Pay TV. Seven starts the final run of My Kitchen Rules. That’s after Sunday Night. Ten starts The Biggest Loser at 6.30pm instead of Young Talent Time, then has Modern Family, New Girl and the season end of Homeland. Nine has 60 Minutes and The Mentalist, with the Great Barrier Reef documentary series at 6.30pm.

Metro News & CA: Seven News won Sydney, Nine won Melbourne, Seven won the rest by big margins, especially Brisbane. It was the same result at 6.30pm with Today Tonight losing Melbourne to A Current Affair, but winning the rest.

Metro FTA: Seven (3 channels) won with a share of 34.6%, from Nine (3) on 24.8%, Ten (3) was on 19.7%, the ABC (4) was on 14.7% and SBS (2) ended on 6.3%. Seven leads the week with 34.7% from Nine on 23.8% and Ten on 20.9%. Main Channels: Seven won with 26.7% from Nine on 18.6%, Ten was on 13.2%, ABC 1 was on 10.4% and SBS ONE ended on 5.6%. Seven leads the week with 27.8% from Nine on 17.8% and Ten on 14.4%.
Metro Digital: 7TWO won with a share of 4.3%, from Eleven on 4.0%, GO on 3.7%, 7mate on 3.6%, ABC 2 on 2.8%, Gem and ONE ended with 2.5% each, News 24 was on 0.9% and ABC 3 and SBS TWO were on 0.6% each. That’s a total FTA share for the 10 channels of 25.2%. 7TWO leads the week with 3.8% from Eleven on 3.6% and GO on 3.5%.
Pay TV: Seven (3 channels) won with a share of 28.5%, from Nine (3) on 20.4%, Ten (3) was on 16.2%, Pay TV (200 plus channels) was on 14.9%, the ABC (4) was on 12.1% and SBS (2) ended on 5.2%. The 15 FTA channels had a viewing share last night of 85.1%, the 10 digitals had a total share 20.8% and the five main channels had a share of 64.3%.

Regional: Prime/Qld (3 channels) won with a share of 35.2%, from WIN/NBN (3) on 27.2%, SC Ten (3) was on 18.0 %, the ABC (4) ended on 13.6% and SBS (2) was on 6,0%. Prime/7Qld won the main channels with 23.2% from WIN/NBN on 20.1%. 7TWO won the digitals with 6.0%, tied with 7mate. GO was next with 4.2%. The 10 digital channels had an FTA viewing share of a high 30.7% last night. Prime/7Qld leads the week with 34.5% from WIN/NBN on 26.2%.

Major Metro Markets: Seven everywhere, both overall and the main channels. Nine was second and Ten was third. 7TWO won Sydney and Adelaide. 7mate won Perth. Eleven won Melbourne, GO won Brisbane. Seven leads the week everywhere, in Perth Nine and Ten are now tied for second.
