The Glenn Dyer breakdown: A wake up call for Nine. The Block is weak and doesn’t have national appeal (it is not liked in Adelaide and, especially, Perth). The Celebrity Apprentice is just as bad as last year and will struggle.

With The Voice resting, Australia’s Got Talent on Seven rebounded last night. When will Nine extend The Voice to Sunday to Wednesday or Thursday to try and maximise its position? Nine lost Adelaide and Perth last night and Seven now leads and will win the week because of the AFL on Friday and Saturday nights. There goes Nine’s hopes for a clean sweep for the week.

Tonight: Luke Nguyen’s Greater Mekong, How To Cook Like Heston and Two Greedy Italians on SBS from 7.30pm. Nine has The Block and The Celebrity Apprentice and the Footy Shows at 9.30 pm. Ten The Biggest Loser, Glee and Law and Order SVU. The ABC has the final Australia On Trial at 8.30pm.
