The Glenn Dyer breakdown: The Voice came back and gave Nine another win. Ten was very, very weak, well beaten for third by the ABC’s usual news and current affairs line up.
Australia’s Got Talent was crushed by The Voice and only averaged 966,000 viewers in the five metro markets.
Nine wasn’t as popular in regional areas or in Adelaide or Perth, especially The Block. The Voice though did very, very well across the country with over 3.4 million viewers nationally.
Monday night’s NRL game on Pay TV (Newcastle v Penrith) averaged 291,000 people, higher than the NRL and AFL games on Sunday on pay TV (263,000 was the highest for the Sydney v Hawthorn AFL game).
Tonight: The Voice on Nine, two hours from 8pm, meaning a late 10pm finish. The Block at 7pm. Seven has Australia’s Got Talent and then Packed to the Rafters, with a new US series called Missing starting at 9.30pm. Ten has NCIS, The Biggest Loser and Bondi Vet. SBS has Dateline after Insight at 8.30pm. The final of Country Town Rescue is on ABC 1 at 8pm.

Metro FTA: An easy win for Nine (3 channels) with a share of 42.5%, with Seven (3) on 24.1%, the ABC (4) was on 16.2%, Ten (3) was on 13.9% and SBS (2) ended on 3.3%. Nine leads the week with 35.9% from Seven on 27.3%, Ten was on 17.2%, the ABC was on 15.8% and SBS is on 3.8%. Main Channels: Nine won with a share of 37.1%, Seven was on 19.5%, ABC 1 was on 12.6%, Ten was on 9.8% and SBS ONE ended with 2.6%. Nine leads the week with 30.0% from Seven on 22.0%, ABC 1 on 12.2%, Ten is on 11.8 and SBS ONE, 3.0%.
Metro Digital: GO won with a share of 3.3%, from 7TWO on 2.8%, ABC 2 was on 2.5%, Eleven was on 2.4%, gem was on 2.1%, 7mate was on 1.9%, ONE was on 1.7%, SBS TWO was on 0.7%, and ABC 3 and News 24 ended with 0.6% each. The 10 digital channels had a low FTA share last night of 18.6%. GO leads with 3.6%, from Eleven on 3.3% and 7TWO on 2.9%.
Metro including Pay TV: Nine (3 channels) won with a share of 36.2%, with Seven (3) on 20.5%, the ABC (4) was on 3.8%, Pay TV (200 plus channels) was on 12.7%, Ten (3) was on 11.8% and SBS (2) ended on 2.8%. The 15 FTA channels had a share of 87.3%, the 10 digital channels share was a low 15.8%, the five main channels, 71.5%.

Regional: A win to WIN/NBN (3 channels) with a share of 36.4%, from Prime/7Qld (3) with 28.2%, from the ABC (4) on 16.1%, SC Ten (3) was on 15.7% and SBS (2) ended on 3.5%. WIN/NBN won the main channels with 29.8% from Prime/7Qld on 21.4%, ABC 1 was on 11.5% and SC Ten was on 10.5%. 7TWO won the digitals with 4.4% with GO on 3.4% and Gem on 3.3%. The 10 digital channels had an FTA share of 24.2%. WIN/NBN leads the week with 32.3% from Prime/7Qld on 29.5%.

Major Metro Markets: A clean sweep for Nine with wins overall and the main channels in All five metro markets. Seven was second and the ABC was third overall, and ABC 1 was third in the main channels (Adelaide and Perth were closer between Nine and Seven). GO won the digitals in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. 7TWO won Adelaide. Nine leads seven and Ten everywhere bar Adelaide were Seven has a narrow winning margin .
