The Glenn Dyer breakdown: Nine ran dead again and handed the night to Seven, and made it easier for Ten to do well. In fact, Nine finished the night in third spot as another night of auditions from the US version of The Voice failed to enthuse viewers. Despite that, Nine is backing up again tonight for another hiding.

So Seven won and Ten was second. For a second night, Nine was again very, very weak in Perth.

Being Lara Bingle on Ten averaged 650,000 metro viewers and 931,000 nationally. That’s down 10% from a week ago, and 880,000 less than the MasterChef audience. But it still beat the US version of The Voice on Nine which had 635,000 metro and 920,000 national viewers over two excruciating hours from 7pm.

Tonight: Myf Warhurst’s Nice and Randling on ABC 1. The Tour de France is back on SBS ONE from 10pm. Nine has more auditions from the US version of The Voice for two hours. Seven has Australia’s Got Talent, Ten has MasterChef and then Offspring.
