The Glenn Dyer breakdown: Nine won, again, despite the loss of 300,000 to 400,000 viewers for Big Brother. But the real story was Everybody Dance Now, Ten’s latest flop: 324,000 metro viewers (and just 428,000 national viewers). That’s 20,000 metro viewers more than on Monday night and around 6000 less national viewers. But that metro rise was immaterial. The program has been confirmed as a disaster. As a result, Ten was beaten by the ABC and ABC 1 for a third night in a row.

Anger Management averaged 1.12 million metro viewers (1.551 million nationally) for the first episode and 1.106 million (1.479 million nationally) for the second. A sort of happy second coming for Charlie Sheen, but let’s wait till next week.

Tonight: The final Gruen Sweat on ABC 1. Ten has Puberty Blues, after The Shire. Ten isn’t helping Puberty Blues by using The Shire as a lead-in. That’s a very odd programming decision. Ten also starts Class Of at 9.30pm. It’s a local production of an international format at a curious time. Nine has Big Brother.  Nine also starts another series of The Farmer Wants a Wife. Seven has the finale of The Amazing Race Australia and then Criminal Minds.
