A very quiet night all round. The 6-7pm ratings on Nine were skewed by the cricket running overtime to around 6.40pm  AEDST time. So the audience for Nine News at 6pm (1.810 million national/1.234 million metro/ 576,000 regional viewers) was closer to the figures for the last 40 minutes or so of the first day of the second Ashes Test in Adelaide for the Sydney and Melbourne markets (which Nine won last night).

Those minutes of extra cricket coverage were the night’s highlights (except the final episode of Redfern Now which managed 711,000 national/ 483,000 metro/ 228,000 regional viewers on ABC1). The third session of the cricket had 1.297 million national/ 837,000 metro/ 460,000 regional viewers on the original timings.

Nationally, Seven won the night from Nine, Ten and the ABC.
