A win for Seven in the metros and regions in Total People and 25 to 54s. Nine won 16 to 39s and 18 to 49s thanks to Big Brother. Despite that win Big Brother had another weak night. Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell and The Chaser’s Media Circus again stood out, making Big Brother look like a slab of mindless drivel, which it is. The Chaser had 1.111 million national/ 759,000 regional/ 352,000 regional viewers. Mad As Hell had 947,000 national/ 649,000 metro/ 298,000 regional viewers. Big Brother had 814,000 national/ 606,000 metro/ 208,000 regional viewers. The most watched programs nationally were The Force with 1.687 million national viewers (and it was the only program to crack the million viewer mark in metro markets.) Its companion program, Border Security had 1.456 million national viewers. Both are Seven programs. Third was Seven’s reliable Home and Away with 1.372 million national viewers.
