The Twenty 20 tip and run won the night for Nine in metros and the regionals with 1.669 million viewers. End of story. Seven was a distant second, the ABC third and Ten was fourth in metro markets and the regionals as well. Nine won Total People and the demos. The Twenty 20 game was the decider of the three game series between Australia and South Africa. This Friday night they step up to the more serious One Day Internationals.

In the morning Insiders on ABC easily won the battle of the chats with 435,000 national viewers, to a total of 329,000 for The Bolt Report and its 4pm repeat. Including its repeat audience, Insiders had a total of 483,000 viewers.
