One of those mid week nights which if you missed it, it didn’t really matter (perhaps with the exception of The Weekly on the ABC at 8.30pm which was again interesting, unlike most of the rest of the night). The Bachelor, The Hotplate — programs you can afford to miss and not feel a void in your life. The Weekly had 943,000 national viewers (665,000 metro and 278,000 regionals). The 7pm part of The Project managed 1.045 million national viewers for Ten in another solid night (it was 11th nationally) and in the metros beat 7.30 with 745,000 to 713,000. In the morning another narrow metro win by Today over Sunrise (328,000 to 323,000), but Sunrise won nationally.
Nine won the metro main channels, Seven had more viewers overall. Ten grabbed the best demos and the ABC was competitive. In the regions it was Seven first, then daylight and the rest made up the numbers — again it was a very noticeable result to the metros. Nine won Tuesday night from Seven, Ten and the ABC the ratings were delayed by techo problems. Back to normal today.
Nice of the Seven Network to bury double eps of Restaurant Revolution tonight at 8pm, right up against the start of play on day 1 of the fourth cricket test from Britain on Gem, and The Bachelor on Ten. In other words, Seven really doesn’t want anyone to watch, it’s burning two episodes that should have aired this week and next.Watch Dirty Laundry on the ABC at 9.30pm — it’s getting better and you will get more from it than you will in two hours of Revolting Restaurants on Seven.
