Ten’s The Bachelor stood out last night in that it was the most watched non-news program in the metros. But that’s all you can say. While it helped Ten snaffle a nice set of demo viewers (young women) it did nothing for Ten’s overall performance and it again finished fourth in the metros and regionals behind the so older skewing ABC.

Seven won the night in the metros and regionals. The Bachelor managed 1.163 million viewers, including 877,000 in them metros and 286,000 in the regions. The ABC returned Utopia last night and it did well with 1.068 million national viewers. Nine’s The Hotplate managed 1.013 million as it clings to life. In the morning Sunrise, with 331,000 metro viewers, won from Today with 291,000.
