Oh, nooooo. Just when you thought you’d seen the end last night of Seven’s parade of animal-centric programs making you laugh out loud, twitter, chortle, chuckle, belly laugh, or just smile gently in an ironic, but amused fashion, along comes Cats That Make You laugh Out Loud, part two. Yes, the sequel to the original hit (which was topped by those dogs that made us chortle). Last night’s Animals That Make Us Laugh Out Loud helped Seven remain competitive by gathering 1.493 million national viewers (second most watched program nationally. But in reality it was a weak night of TV ahead of the September push starting next week across all networks. Home and Away was again solid nationally with 1.306 million viewers. But in the metros, it again underperformed with 789,000 viewers, which is well under what it was getting earlier in the year.

Seven was a narrow overall winner in the metros. Nine was a clear winner in the main channels in metro markets. In the regions however, Seven was a very solid winner, well ahead of Nine.
