Seven’s night easily, thanks to My Kitchen Rules and the final episode of Downton Abbey. Seven won the metros and regional markets in total people and the major demos. End of story.

MKR managed 2.116 million national viewers including 1.449 million in the metros. Downton Abbey had 1.350 million national and 861,000 metro viewers. Married At First Sight on Nine had 1.284 million national viewers and 899,000 in the metros.

The ABC had a solid night with its news and current affairs line up. Ten was weak, but not as weak as Sunday night.

The top programs in regionals were: MKR with 667,000; Home and Away on 526,000; Downton Abbey, 489,000; The Chase Australia 5.30pm 427,000; ABC News, 403,000.

Today edged out Sunrise in breakfast, 320,000 to 311,000.
