An easy win for Seven last night as Ten and Nine went missing in action again. My Kitchen Rules dominated the night (as was to be expected with the penultimate program) with 2.331 million national and 1.566 million metro viewers.

Sunrise popped up with a solid win in breakfast over Today in the metros, 345,000 to 306,000. Apart from MKR it was a pretty average night.

The top five programs in regional areas were: MKR, 754,000, Home and Away, 504,000, Criminal Minds, 462,000, The Chase Australia 5.30pm, 448,000, Nine News, 397,000.

Ten has a second weak night this week in metro and regionals, quite noticeably so from this morning’s figures.

Ten says Masterchef Australia’s 2016 season starts on May 1. That is probably also help answer the big question of if its first half improvement in ratings and revenue and earnings, as we saw this morning with the half year financial results can continue into Winter and early Spring).
