More games and a dash to the meat market (The Bachelor) and that was the night, with honourable assistance from Gruen on the ABC. And that was the night: Seven wins in metro and regional markets. Seven won the metros and the regions. End of night.
The ABC’s Gruen stood out with 1.224 million national viewers, while The Bachelor averaged 1.127 million national viewers.
In regional markets, Seven News averaged 596,000; the 5.30pm part of The Chase Australia was second with 536,000, with the In Rio Today Day four program third with 463,000; the Day 5 Evening session of the Games coverage was fourth with 436,000, and the 5pm part of The Chase Australia was fifth with 379,000.
Great game by the Australian Men’s Basketball team against the US this morning. Makes you proud and wonder why the sport is in the doldrums here and has been for a few years.

Losers: No one again because of the Games. But gee the competition on The Bachelor’s Meat Market is pretty weak compared to the real stuff in Rio.
