Notes:
Verse two: All hail the TRS-80!
Verse seven: “This sentence isn’t true” is the simplest version of the Cretan/Russellian/Godelian principle, which states that a system can produce well-formed, undecidable statements. If the sentence is false, then it is a true sentence. Which makes it false. Which makes it true …
Verse eight: A one word, potentially endlessly recursive sentence. “Buffalo” here refers to, 1) residents of Buffalo, NY, 2) Brash young men, 3) the verb “to bully”. So the sentence can be read “Buffalo buffalo (quarter breath) Buffalo buffalo buffalo (half breath) buffalo (quarter breath) Buffalo buffalo (eighth breath) Buffalo buffalo buffalo”. Or “Brash young men from Buffalo bullied by other brash young men from Buffalo, in turn bully brash young men from Buffalo who themselves are bullied by (other) brash young men from Buffalo.” The sentence can be infinitely extended.
Verse nine: the “most beautiful equation in the word” shows that the natural logarithm e (whose logarithm of itself in its own base – 2.718…. – is 1), when raised to the power of pi multiplied by the square root of -1 is equal to -1. This is breathtaking, and possibly evidence towards the idea that the universe is a 3D cellular automata created by higher dimensional beings, using a simplified regular mathematics unlikely to be a random product of nature. The DNA double helix is also something of a giveaway. The “big bang” is simply t=1 of the automata, in a universe/computer clocked in Planck time, run quadrillions of times before the double-helix, and the language-creating single mutation emerges. In the meta-universe bounding this automata, time remains durational and arrowed, but is presumably “clocked” differently, ie billions of our years may be a single operation.
