Where the grass is Greener? Casting around for a replacement for beleaguered Queensland Liberal State Director Geoff Greene has started in earnest with the start of the new year. However, few people in the Sunshine State seem willing to take the siege perilous. The net is being cast wider – with the proviso that South Australians don’t get a look in. Why? “That’s where we got Greene from,” quips one party hack. Other sources say that it could be a good time for Greene to be moving on if he wants to be guaranteed a pay packet – as the party’s previous ruling clique has left the cupboard bare.
