Glenn Dyer’s comments: An average night. Lots of glitz on MasterChef and The Pacific. Boring nostalgia on Hey Hey, fading glory on the ABC with Spicks and Specks, not to mention the sagging New Inventors. Hey Hey again kept Nine in the race with a big win across the two hours in Melbourne and a solid showing across the two hours in Sydney. Hey Hey was ignored outside of those two markets. In Adelaide, it’s really on the nose.

TONIGHT: Seven’s black hole, again. 7.30pm to 9.30pm in Melbourne and other AFL markets. 8.30pm onwards in northern markets. Nine has Sea Patrol, Ten has MasterChef.

To watch The Inquisition on the ABC at 8.30pm would be to see the real story about the Golden Mile at Kings Cross — not the tawdry crock of rubbish they have made in as the third Underbelly series. Ten also has Glee at 8 pm. SBS has Italian Food Safari and Costa’s Garden Odyssey from 7.30pm.

Watch The Inquisition and don’t watch any more of this series of Underbelly. And speaking of Underbelly, Nine this morning added a second episode to next Sunday night at 9.30pm. It originally had the one episode at 8.30pm and then a program called Families of Crime at 9.30pm. The second episode of Underbelly replaces it.
