Seven returned City Homicide to the 8.30pm slot and it averaged 936,000 over two hours. That was enough to win those two hours. But in the 8.30pm to 9.30pm slot the program was creamed, along with Ten’s Lie To Me (946,000) because the ABC was very dominant in that slot with Spicks and Specks and The Gruen Transfer.
The Losers Hey Hey Its Saturday. A complete failure. World’s Strictest Parents, Seven, 7.30pm, 827,000. Up against MasterChef made it tough.

Glenn Dyer’s comments: Last night Hey Hey It’s Saturday was a flop, 851,000 watched. Only one episode to go, then they can rejoin 2010. 351,000 watched in Melbourne. That support is the only reason why Hey Hey has survived these past two months.
MasterChef, another season record of 2.21 million people with a genuine challenge, not something tricked up like the army effort the week before. Cooking a signature dish for the special chef guests was a great idea. Spicks and Specks and The Gruen Transfer were also very solid last night, a great segue from MasterChef.
And, speaking of The Gruen Transfer, the folk at Seven’s Sunrise are up to their old tricks. They have approached most of the on camera ad people being used on Gruen and tried to get them to appear on Sunrise as part of its election coverage, even though Gruen will be doing specials on political ads in the campaign.
TONIGHT: MasterChef, the elimination, all blokes. Ten also returns Bondi Vet at 8pm. Seven has the Thursday night black hole, except perhaps for The Matty Johns Show fin Sydney and Brisbane at 7.30pm. Nine has Sea Patrol. The ABC has the third episode of Miracles.
