The Winners: Seven won, Glee and The Big Bang Theory fought it out in the demos. Glee was better as TV. The ABC is a wasteland. The Block is hanging in there. Ten’s House at 9.30pm; 608,000, but did well in the main demos.

The Losers: Ten, except for Glee which won the important demos and was a stunner last night. Much more confronting that our soaps. The Librarians, 595,000 at 8.30pm. Lost its funnies. Strictly Speaking at 8pm on the ABC, 390,000 — even the ABC knows a turkey and this morning it boned Strictly Speaking and slotted QI (Stephen Fry) into the 8pm slot from next Wednesday.

News & CA: TV audiences are odd, Seven’s Sydney 6pm News saw its audience jump to 404,000 last night for no apparent reason The second highest in the country last night. Viewer numbers had been 50,000 to 90,000 fewer on some nights. Nine News in Sydney didn’t move. Seven won all five metro markets, as did TT. A Current Affair seems to slowly losing audience each week. It’s only an impression, but as I said. TV audiences are odd, they seem to go off programs, then flock back. The 7pm Project on Ten remains weak, Sunrise is still well ahead of Today in the morning.

(All shares on the basis of combined overnight 6pm to midnight All People)

Glenn Dyer’s comments: An average night of TV, Seven won All People, Nine won the demos. Tonight should be worse with the digitals and Pay TV expected to see good shares in their morning reports tomorrow.

TONIGHT: Keeping Up with the Joneses on Ten at 8pm. Beauty and The Geek on Seven for the young at heart or those who like Glee or The Big Bang Theory. CSI at 8.30pm, Cops L.A.C is supposed to be at 9.30pm. That won’t do either any good. Rush on Ten. If you are a baseball nut, game one of the World Series starts at 11pm on ONE and is repeated at 6am tomorrow.
