  • FTA: Nine (3 channels) won easily with a share of 30.3%, from, Seven (3) with 24.5%, Ten on 22.1% (2), the ABC with 17.8% (4) and SBS with 5.3% (2). Seven leads the week with 28.2%, from Nine on 27.1% and Ten with 21.2%.
  • Main Channel: Nine won here with a share of 25.2%, from Ten on 21,.1%, Seven was third with 20.1%, ABC 1 was on 15.0% and SBS ONE, 4.6%. Seven leads the week with 23.7% from Nine on 21.4% and Ten on 19.9%.
  • Digital: GO won with a share of 3.3%, from 7TWO and 7Mate on 2.2% each, ABC 2 was on 1.9%, Gem, 1.8% (doing better without the cricket), ONE had 1.0%, SBS TWO, 0.7%, ABC 3, 0.5%, News 24, 0.4%. That’s a total FTA share of 14.0% for the nine channels. GO leads the week on 4.5%, from 7Mate on 2.3% and 7TWO with 2.2%. The total FTA share for the digitals was highest in Perth with 15.% and lowest in Sydney with 11.7%. They had FTA shares of 14.2% in Melbourne, 14.7% in Brisbane and 14.6% in Adelaide.
  • Pay TV: Nine won easily with 25.4% (3 channels), from Seven with 20.6% (3), Ten with 18.6% (2), the ABC (4) with 15.0%, Pay TV (100-plus channels), 13.2% and SBS, 4.5%. The Nine FTA digital channels had a share of 11.6%, the main channels, 75.2%, making a total of 86.8% for the 14 FTA channels in prime time last night. Foxtel’s share was highest, as usual in Sydney with 15.4%, and lowest in Adelaide with 10.3%. It had 11.4% share in Melbourne, 13.6% in Brisbane and 12.5% in Perth.
  • Regional: A win to WIN/NBN with 29.8% from Prime/7Qld on 27.2%, SC Ten with 20.5%, the ABC, 16.3% and SBS with 6.2%. WIN/NBN won the main channels from Prime/7Qld and Ten. GO won the digitals with 3.5%, from 7Mate and 7TWO with 2.1% each. The nine digital channels had an FTA share of 13.6% . Prime/7Qld leads the week on 29.7% from WIN/NBN with 27.8%.

Major Markets: Nine won everywhere, bar Perth overall, where Seven got up. But Nine won all the main channels. Ten finished second in both Sydney and Melbourne, relegating Seven to third. GO won Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. 7TWO won Adelaide and 7Mate won Perth. Seven leads Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Nine leads Melbourne.

TONIGHT: Packed to the Rafters on Seven. Ten has Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation at 7.30pm, and a fresh NCIS. Nine has the stunt program, National IQ Test (co-hosted by Eddie McGuire,). It goes for two hours.

It’s the final episode for the year tonight of the ABC’s best program of the year, Foreign Correspondent.
