The Winners: That’s a bit more like it, 10 programs with more than a million viewers. Did the approaching onset of autumn and damp weather in many markets have a role last night?

Seven ran a repeat episode of Bones at 8.30pm, (873,000). For the second week in a row this probably cost Seven a win in All People and the main channels. But in the 16 to 54 group Seven will win. Ten did well with The Biggest Loser and Modern Family finishing high in the demos. Ten won 16 to 39s. Nine also had a good night in the demos, one of its best so far this year.

News & CA: Nine’s decision to run another exclusive interview-based A Current Affair on Sunday at 6.30pm did well. It actually provided an interesting comparison with Sunday Night on Seven (quality TV current affairs last night).

Glenn Dyer’s comments: Seven again, by a mile both overall, the main channels and the digital channels. Six weeks in a row. Will the resting of Packed to the Rafters tomorrow night (and the new program Winners and Losers) and Nine’s new gambling show, Million Dollar Drop, be game changers this week?

Midsomer Murders bored for an England gone by on the ABC last night. It wouldn’t surprise to see a platoon of National Front folk walking down Carston High Street protesting at modern story telling in UK crime dramas.

TONIGHT: The ABC’s Wall Of Knowledge, from 7pm to 11.30pm or thereabouts. Four Corners perhaps (the program is going all current, looking at the events in Japan and I bet a lot on nuclear power).

Q&A has some interest, will Miranda Devine inspire the twits of Twitter to waste money tonight commenting on what she says? Nine has Eddie McGuire’s new game show, Million Dollar Drop. Nothing wrong with a game show, but there is an awful lot to dislike about a program which refines gambling into entertainment and shows a glamorous falsehood.

Nine also has double episodes of Two and a Half Men where the ending is said to be shocking… More shocking that what we’ve seen from Charlie Sheen already? Seven has My Kitchen Rules and Conviction Kitchen. SBS has Man vs. Wild. Ten has The 7pm Project and Glee. Could Glee be the highlight?
