Glenn Dyer’s comments: Nothing more to be said, a comprehensive win by Seven, the second this week after Sunday night when Dancing With The Stars and Downton Abbey dominated won the night.

Australia’s Got Talent averaged 791,000 in regional areas. With the 1.949 million in the metro markets, it had a national audience of 2.740 million.

MasterChef was watched by 471,000 in the regions. With the 1.502 million in the metros, its national audience was 1.973 million.

Winners & Losers did well in the regions with 531,000 viewers (beating MasterChef ). With its metro audience of 1.310 million, it had a national audience of 1.841 million.

TONIGHT: No Australia’s Got Talent on Seven, but Highway Patrol, World’s Deadliest Roads (returning and new, respectively) and a fresh Criminal Minds. Not a gripping night at all.

MasterChef on Ten and then Glee: that’s more interesting. Ten also starts a new program at 8.30pm called The Defenders. Look at it as another in the long line of near hits like Lie To Me, Burn Notice, White Collar and Hawaii Five O.

Angry Boys on the ABC. Will the audience come back after deserting to the State of Origin a week ago?

Nine has RPA at 8.30pm. East West 101 on SBS at 8.30pm. A dullish night.
