Mark Latham:
Niall Clugston writes: Re. “Latham’s Henderson Watch: … taking on the sensitive petal” (yesterday, item 12).Mark Latham has pressed two too many buttons when attacking Gerard Henderson: he has accused him of being illogical and he has used the word “fascist”.
However, I know from past duels that these taunts drive Brigadier Gerard wild, even though he has no patience with logic and never defines “fascist”, despite complaining no one knows what it means.
I can only think there will be a Cold War Armageddon or Henderson will self-combust. I only hope Crikey will publish his response, regardless of length.
Productivity:
Denis Lenihan writes: Re. “Gottliebsen: the public enemy of productivity” (yesterday, item 18). You can tell that Robert Gottliebsen is just bursting to be asked these questions, so let’s oblige him.
Is productivity a high priority for him? Does he measure his own productivity? What are his key performance indicators? How has he performed against his kpis over the last two years?
