Senior sources
say that the NSW Liberals are planning to act in the wake of this week’s Four Corners program on the activities in the party of the hard right.

Are they
going to rein in zealots who are marginalising the party? Of course not. That
would require will and leadership.

Instead,
Crikey is told that they are going to wait for the unwanted publicity created
by Four Corners to die down, then they are going after everyone who spoke to the
show – plus a few other suspects. The executive will issue “show cause”
notices, then follow them up with expulsions.
