- Seven News — 1.548 million
- Nine News — 1.386 million

Tonight: Test cricket on Nine today. A repeat of Midsomer Murders on ABC 1 at 8.30pm, a fresh Lewis returns to Seven at 8.30pm. On Nine and Ten it’s vintage movie repeat night tonight. Nine repeats the 1993 movie, The Fugitive. Ten has the 1993 movie Mrs Doubtfire. Cheap TV. CBS has a documentary on Hiroshima called Hiroshima: The Next Day.
Tomorrow: Don’t forget the Test cricket. The final Doc Martin of the series at 7.30pm on the ABC (should get close to two million viewers nationally). Movies on Seven and Nine, and Ten, mostly repeats. A very weak night.
Sunday: The morning chats are still going on the ABC: Insiders, Inside Business and Offsiders finish for the summer (and the sport is still happening!). The Bolt Report finishes for the year as well. The afternoon repeat is pre-empted for the final round of the New Zealand Golf Open. Nine has the Test cricket (hopefully still going), Seven has the Kiwi duo, Dog Patrol and Coastwatch (a real Kiwi weekend with the Test cricket and the golf).
The ABC starts Upstairs Downstairs which was disinterred from the vault after airing earlier this year. It’s actually a sort of reality program and the ABC’s promotions on ABC have been a little down the track that Seven, Nine and Ten go when what is in effect a repeat. 60 Minutes is a mixture of repeats of local stories and an uninteresting story from the US program.
