The Glenn Dyer breakdown: As expected, Seven’s night, easily. Nine was especially weak.
The Australian Swimming Championships averaged 576,000 on Ten’s main channel at 8pm and a further 203,000 on ONE at 8.30pm.
The ABC showed a special on Lake Eyre as a tribute to John Bean, Gary Ticehurst and Paul Lockyer who died tragically last year while filming in the area. It averaged 638,000 and reminded us of what we lost.
Ten’s The Biggest Loser averaged 769,000. NCIS at 8.30pm, 884,000. That helped Ten into second at the expense of a weak Nine which just hasn’t any ratings oomph at the moment.
Tonight: The ABC has Woodley and Adam Hills in Gordon Street Tonight. Weak, avoid unless desperate. Seven has My Kitchen Rules and Please Marry My Boy. Ten has the Australian Swimming Championships and The Biggest Loser. Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation is fading and on its last legs. The Good Wife is suffering as a result. Nine has repeats of The Big Bang Theory and a fresh episode of The Mentalist. The Killing on SBS TWO at 8.30pm.
