The Glenn Dyer breakdown: Seven’s night, again, as My Kitchen Rules ruled supreme — it ends next Tuesday.

Seven’s Please Marry My Boy failed to hang on to as many My Kitchen Rules viewers as it has been doing and averaged less than a million people last night (985,000). Enough, already!

Nine and Ten were not in the hunt, as is usual on a Wednesday night while My Kitchen Rules is in the schedule.

Tonight: My Kitchen Rules on Seven. The Footy Shows on Nine. The Straits on ABC 1, The Biggest Loser and Law and Order SVU on Ten. SBS has its usual foodie programs from 7.30pm starting with Luke Nguyen’s Greater Mekong.

The top 10 national programs (metro & regional combined):

The Losers: Woodley on the ABC at 8pm, 298,000. Enough, enough, get it off. It’s punishment enough knowing it’s in the schedule.

Adam Hills in Gordon Street Tonight, 495,000. Not helped by Woodley. Another flop.

In the morning: Today‘s recovery seems to have stalled this year. Could it be that Ten’s Breakfast is taking viewers? Not many, but enough to make a difference?

Breakfast lifted yesterday in the two hours, but The Circle didn’t add any viewers for the next two and a half hours. When you average Breakfast out over three hours from 6am, on the same basis as News Breakfast on the ABC, News Breakfast is doing better — 37,000 to 23,000.

  1. Sunrise (Seven) (7am) — 401,000
