Registrations are open for the Building a
Nation of Character conference being run by one of the nation’s leading religious right bodies, the Australian
Christian Lobby,
in Canberra this September.
Run your eye over the agenda, and it looks
pretty clear that our nation’s political wannabes are going gangbusters getting
God on their side. That perpetual political bridesmaid, Treasurer Peter
Costello, tops the bill.
And also down on the program is his shadow,
Wayne Swan – who no doubt believes that if we have an omnipresent God, then He’ll
have time for Queensland Labor MPs other than Kevin Rudd.
No doubt they’ve noted that last year’s
keynote speaker is enjoying a bit of a political resurrection – Kim Beazley.
