The Glenn Dyer breakdown: Games, games, games and Nine’s audience last night was again very solid. The metro prime time average was a very tasty 1.711 million. The national average was 2.532 million and the regional average was a high 820,000. Nine’s metro share of 42.2% was the highest so far this week. No sign of the usual Games burnout among viewers these Olympics.
Tonight: Games on Nine and Foxtel. NRL on Nine (Gem, delayed, not live). AFL on Seven (main channel and 7mate) and on Foxtel. Better Homes and Gardens on Seven in northern markets. The final Silent Witness on ABC 1. The Living Room on Ten.
Saturday: Games on Nine and Foxtel, AFL on Seven (main channel and 7mate) and Foxtel. Movies on Seven in northern markets, and on Ten in all markets. New Tricks repeat on ABC 1 and the final of Kidnap and Ransom. The Inspector Morse repeat on 7mate at 8.30pm for those non-Games fans.
Sunday: Morning chats, Games on Nine and Foxtel. NRL on Nine and Foxtel, AFL on Seven and Foxtel. Ten tries to get a jump by starting its new program, Everybody Dance Now at 7.30pm. MasterChef All Stars at 6.30pm and the movie Avatar at 9.30pm. Seven has Sunday Night and Once Upon a Time. ABC 1 has not much at all. The Games closing ceremony is on early Monday morning on Nine and Foxtel.

Metro FTA: Nine (3) won with a share of 42.2%, from Seven (3) on 25.3%, Ten (3) was on 14.9%, the ABC (4) ended on 13.1% and SBS (2) finished with 4.5%. Nine leads the week with 41.1%, from Seven on 24.2% and Ten with 16.0%. Main Channels: Nine won with 39.3%, from Seven on 17.6%, Ten was on 9.6%, ABC 1 was on 9.3% and SBS ONE ended with 3.9 %. Nine leads the week with 37.9%, from Seven on 17.7% and Ten with 11.0%.
Metro Digital: 7mate won with a share of 3.9% from 7TWO on 3.8%, Eleven was on 3.2%, ABC 2 and GO ended with 2.4% each, ONE was on 2.1%, ABC 3 and News 24 were on 0.7% each, SBS TWO finished with 0.6% and Gem was on 0.5%. The 10 digital channels had an FTA share of 19.3% last night. 7TWO leads the week with 3.5%, from 7mate on 3.0% and GO on 2.8%.
Metro including Pay TV: Nine (3) won with a share of 33.2%% (the highest of the week so far), from Seven (3) on 19.9%, Ten (3) was on 11.7%, the ABC (4) ended on 10.3% and SBS (2) finished with 3.5%. The 15 FTA channels had a total viewing share of 80.7%. The five main channels share was 65.7%, the 10 digital channels share totalled 15.0%. Pay TV has a share last of of 19.3% thanks to the undisclosed figures for the 8 games channels on Foxtel which are included in the Other Subscription Channels group.

WIN/NBN won the main channels with 39.1%, from Prime/7Qld on 17.2%, ABC 1 on 8.5% and SC Ten on 7.2%. 7mate won the digitals with a share of 6.0%, from 7TWO on 5.0% and Eleven with 3.7%. The 10 digital channels had an FTA share last night of 25.7%. WIN/NBN leads the week with 41.8%, from Prime/7Qld on 26.2%.

Major Metro Markets: A clean sweep, again for Nine, both overall and the main channels. The interest was in the battle for third where Ten and the ABC jousted. Ten was third overall and the main channels in Melbourne and Adelaide. In Sydney the ABC and ABC 1 was third overall and in the main channels. ABC 1 was third in the main channels in Brisbane and Perth. 7TWO won the digitals in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Eleven won Brisbane and 7mate won Perth. Nine leads the week everywhere and has won the week, as it was always going to do.
