The PM’s media coverage up over 50% from last week, a tick over 10,000 syndicated radio items along with the polling numbers showing what a huge task the Opposition have in making headway against the Rudd juggernaut as he strides the world and his own backyard, bravely tackling crises financial and natural, Malcolm Turnbull getting about 15% of the PM’s coverage.

All of this is somewhat of a contrast with second placed Nathan Rees, whose government is facing an avalanche of negative coverage and criticism from virtually every quarter following its mini budget aimed at cutting costs and with increased charges at a time when everyone else is screaming at governments to spend big, as more and more pollies from right to left call for an end to state government altogether.

Meanwhile the biggest mover is Stephen Smith, who managed to sneak in some coverage on foreign affairs matters that the boss let slip through the net.

NSW politics dominates, with the general tone of coverage, ahem, somewhat negative.
