“We should all pray for rain”, says the Prime Minister, in what appears to be a novel approach to the formulation of government policy in an election year.
If prayer really is a legitimate substitute for policy in these uncertain times, perhaps the principle could apply across a range of portfolios:
Peter Costello: “We should all pray for rates.”
Malcolm Turnbull: “We should all pay for rain.”
Kevin Rudd: “We should all pray for reign.”
Amanda Vanstone: ”We should all pray for Rome.”
Tony Abbott: ”We should all pray.”
Or maybe we just misheard, and what the PM actually said was: “We should all pray for Rudd”?
