A quiet night. Chicago Fire appeared on Seven’s main channel last night with back to back episodes. It is slow and I can understand why this “old” US show has taken its time to get here on Free To Air TV (it premiered on Fox 8 last January). Chicago Fire averaged  1.148 million national/743,000 metro/ 403,000 regional viewers for the two hours from 8.30pm and that helped the network to easily win the night in metro and regional markets.

But the sleepers for Seven were Dog Patrol (1.272 million national/ 762,000 metro/ 510,000 regional viewers) and Air Rescue at 8pm with 1.333 million metro/ 784,000 metro/ regional viewers. They swept the 7.30-8.30pm slots for Seven and set up the audience for Chicago Fire. Ten’s Homeland (530,000 national/ 382,000 metro/ 148,000 regional viewers) and Blue Bloods (335,000 national/230,000 metro/ 105,000 regional viewers) were as unappealing to viewers in non-ratings as they were in official ratings. Wake Up in the morning saw its usual Monday slide — just 28,000 metro and 48,000 national viewers. Studio 10 managed 43,000 metro and 61,000 national viewers.

The cricket finished early on Nine and had 972,000 national/ 660,000 metro/ 312,000 regional viewers for just over an hour of play and presentation.
