With My Kitchen Rules leading the way for a second night, Seven was always going to be the winner in metro and regional markets. The ABC was third and Ten fourth. Ten was again weaker in regional markets and in Sydney and Melbourne than in other metro markets. My Kitchen Rules averaged 2.915 million national/ 2.007 million metro/ 908,000 regional viewers.  That helped maintain a solid audience for Resurrection (which is getting odder by the week). It had million national/ 1.331 million metro/ 672,000 regional viewers. Nine’s 6 pm News again had big wins in Sydney (by 74,000 viewers) and Melbourne (by 132,000), Seven won Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. In regional areas Nine News again had more viewers.

Ten announced this morning that the 2014 season of Masterchef Australia starts on Monday, May 5 at 7.30pm – it will be the moment of truth for the network and for executive chairman, Hamish McLennan (great idea for a TV reality program).
