Viewers were not really interested on what went to air last night. No program had a million or more viewers in the five metro markets. Dancing With The Stars waddled its way across our screens last night, looking much like the average age of its demo at times. It was at least colourful and had movement and some life.

Dancing topped the national figures after a solid effort in the regionals and fifth in the metros. It was the most watched post 7.30 program with 1.487 million national/ 946,000 metro/ 542,000 regional viewers. The 6 to 7pm news and current affairs programs did well, as they always do when the rest of the night is average. Big Brother averaged 860,000 national/ 628,000 metro/ 232,000 regional viewers and did well in the 16 to 49 demos. I think it had some sort of eviction — double fake … what will this program stoop to next?
