With the NRL game on Nine last night between Souths and Brisbane (won by the Broncos, a News Corp side), Nine won the metros and the regions. And that was the end of the story. A most disappointing night as the networks gird their loins for the big September push to try and win a fading year. The Meat Market (The Bachelor) was the most watched non news show with 1.169 million viewers, most if not all under 30 – 35 and many of them female.

The fresh Lewis on 7TWO had a tasty 581,000 national viewers, out-rating again the fading dud on Seven’s main channel. That was Restaurant Revolution which got 465,000 national viewers, 297,000 metro, 168,000 regional. You can see Seven’s ratings and financial pain in those figures. Seven’s Sunrise had another win over Nine’s Today in breakfast and is heading for its best week for more than a month.
