The real issue is insolvency
Niall Clugston writes: Re. “Oh precious Day! Ex-senator’s persnicketiness could cost Turnbull a key vote” (yesterday). Exploring the ins and outs of Bob Day’s electoral office arrangements is a distraction. The constitutional issue is whether he had a direct or indirect pecuniary interest in a contract with the Commonwealth. It doesn’t matter whether he needed to be in Kent Town.
Charles Pickett writes: Like most, I consider myself cynical about our pollies. But people like Day still make my jaw drop: beyond shame, beyond embarrassment, sooking over a small commute and paid parking while lining up to do Tony Turnbull’s dirty work on welfare etc.
Hypocrisy on steroids.
