Rebekah Holt is a journalist and psychotherapist originally from New Zealand now based in Melbourne. In her previous NZ life she was a chief of staff in television news, a spokesperson for the NZ Police and very bad at dealing with volunteers for several political parties who employed her. She can regularly be found explaining New Zealand to Australians and vice versa. In between writing on politics and media she is usually pitching another story to some poor editor about Australia’s onshore detention centres.
