Another week into the new year, and there are still only two stories that most of us are talking about: Trump and the coronavirus.

As we look ahead to Joe Biden’s inauguration, this week we examined how Rupert Murdoch’s media empire contributed to the rise of Donald Trump and his particular, dangerous brand of politics.

And, while we covered the pandemic, associated border closures and vaccine rollouts, we’ve also been keeping an eye on other important topics: climate change, the summer’s political b-teams and the cricket.
